Evaluation of prices and incentives for the introduction of ethanol fuel system in El Salvador.

OBJECTIVE: We were hired by the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) to advise the Ministry of Economy of El Salvador on pricing and economic incentives included in the bill for fuel ethanol and its impact on the profitability of potential investors. We also had the objective of this study suggest additional incentives to those already used by the country.

Besides this type of study where the customer is the government, as we make feasibility studies of business with strong interference of the Government in the activity (for ethanol fuel), we include for our client in the private sector an assessment of the risks associated with this government presence .
